Introduction

This five-day course gives NGOs practical skills to measure program performance and use evidence to improve decisions. It focuses on indicator design, monitoring plans, data quality, basic analysis, and reporting. Participants work on real project examples and leave with templates and action plans. Stronger M&E helps meet donor requirements, improves accountability, and supports smarter program adjustments.

Objectives

1. Design a clear theory of change and logical framework for a program.
2. Develop a monitoring plan with well-defined indicators, baselines, targets, and data sources.
3. Set up practical data collection methods and quality assurance procedures for field teams.
4. Analyze basic quantitative and qualitative data and translate results into program recommendations.
5. Produce concise, stakeholder-ready reports and dashboards and use findings for adaptive management.
