Course Information

Introduction

This five-day AutoCAD course teaches the core skills needed to produce accurate, production-ready drawings. You will learn efficient drafting workflows, file organization, and annotation practices used across architecture, engineering, and fabrication. Hands-on exercises focus on real project tasks so you can apply the techniques immediately. The course balances command practice with drawing standards and plotting procedures.

Objectives

Create accurate 2D technical drawings using industry-standard AutoCAD drafting tools and workflows.
Apply layers, object properties, blocks, and reusable templates to improve drawing consistency and productivity.
Produce professional annotations, dimensions, and layouts that comply with recognised drafting standards.
Organise drawing files, external references, and plotting configurations for efficient project collaboration and document control.
Generate production-ready drawings with appropriate scales, title blocks, and print settings for architecture, engineering, and fabrication projects.

- Participants are expected to engage in guided self-study, reading, or personal reflection on the day’s content. This contributes toward the CPD accreditation and deepens conceptual understanding.

Please Note:
- All training sessions are conducted from Monday to Friday, following the standard working week observed in the United Kingdom and European Union. Saturday and Sunday are official weekends and are not counted as part of the course duration.
- Coffee and refreshments are available on a floating basis throughout the morning. Participants may help themselves at their convenience to ensure an uninterrupted learning experience Provided if applicable and subject to course delivery arrangements.
