Introduction
Advanced Planning and Scheduling teaches methods to produce reliable, executable schedules for complex projects and operations. The course focuses on integrating resources, lead times, risk, and procurement into planning. Participants apply techniques to real scenarios and scheduling tools to test and compare alternatives. The result is fewer schedule surprises and clearer decisions about time and capacity.
Objectives
2. Apply critical path, float analysis, and resource leveling to identify and remove bottlenecks.
3. Create and compare alternative scenarios using scheduling software and data-driven assumptions.
4. Implement scheduling governance: baselines, change control, and performance KPIs.
5. Diagnose schedule variance and produce corrective action plans with quantified impacts on time and cost.
Who Should Attend
1. Project schedulers and planners (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project users)
2. Project controls managers and planners
3. Production planners and master planners in manufacturing or operations
4. Maintenance planning supervisors and reliability planners in asset-intensive industries
5. Supply chain planners responsible for lead times, capacity, and materials coordination
