Introduction

Organizations face more interdependent risks and shorter windows to respond. Poor crisis planning increases operational loss, legal exposure, and reputational damage. This course shows how to design, test, and activate practical crisis plans that reduce harm and speed recovery.

Objectives

1. Draft and prioritize crisis scenarios and response plans tied to critical functions and assets.
2. Define command-and-control structures, escalation triggers, and clear decision authority.
3. Build and run tabletop and functional exercises, and translate findings into actionable plan updates.
4. Develop stakeholder communication protocols for employees, regulators, customers, and media.
5. Integrate crisis plans with business continuity and IT recovery, and establish measurable readiness indicators.

- Participants are expected to engage in guided self-study, reading, or personal reflection on the day’s content. This contributes toward the CPD accreditation and deepens conceptual understanding.

Please Note:
- All training sessions are conducted from Monday to Friday, following the standard working week observed in the United Kingdom and European Union. Saturday and Sunday are official weekends and are not counted as part of the course duration.
- Coffee and refreshments are available on a floating basis throughout the morning. Participants may help themselves at their convenience to ensure an uninterrupted learning experience Provided if applicable and subject to course delivery arrangements.
