Executive Master in Strategic Finance and Business Leadership

Course Information

Introduction

Project closure is a critical phase that confirms project objectives have been achieved, contractual obligations have been fulfilled, and business benefits are ready to transition into operational use. Effective closure protects organisational value by ensuring deliverables are accepted, knowledge is retained, financial obligations are completed, and stakeholders formally approve project outcomes.

This five-day course provides executives and senior project leaders with practical methods for closing projects in a structured and controlled manner. Through case studies, practical exercises, and real project scenarios, participants will learn how to complete financial and contractual close-out, evaluate project performance, capture lessons learned, manage operational handover, and strengthen organisational project governance.

Objectives

1. Apply a structured project closure process that confirms deliverables, secures stakeholder acceptance, and completes all project obligations.
2. Complete financial, contractual, and administrative close-out activities while ensuring compliance with organisational governance requirements.
3. Evaluate project performance, document lessons learned, and assess the achievement of planned business benefits.
