Introduction

This five-day course teaches how to build, assess and strengthen corporate governance frameworks. It focuses on practical tools you can apply to board structures, committee terms of reference, reporting lines and controls. The content aligns with common regulatory expectations and stakeholder requirements. Participants work on real examples and leave with a deliverable governance plan.

Objectives

Design and implement corporate governance frameworks that align with organisational strategy, ownership structures, and regulatory requirements.
Assess existing governance arrangements to identify structural gaps, accountability issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop governance documentation, including board charters, committee terms of reference, delegated authorities, and reporting structures.
Establish governance controls, monitoring mechanisms, and performance indicators that strengthen oversight and organisational accountability.
Produce a practical governance implementation plan that supports compliance, risk management, and continuous governance improvement.
