Introduction

This five-day course teaches how to gather, analyze, and apply competitive intelligence to inform real decisions. You will learn practical methods to collect reliable data, build competitor profiles, and map market dynamics. The focus is on turning evidence into actionable strategic options and clear briefings. The course uses templates and exercises you can use immediately back at work.

Objectives

1. Collect and validate competitive data from public records, commercial databases, and primary research using ethical methods.
2. Build structured competitor profiles and ecosystem maps that capture capabilities, product roadmaps, partners, and financial signals.
3. Run and document analyses (positioning, pricing, value chain, SWOT) to identify likely competitor moves and business risks.
4. Design and operate win/loss interviews, customer intelligence, and field-reporting processes to close information gaps.
5. Produce concise, executive-ready briefings and recommendations that link intelligence to specific strategic actions and KPIs.
