Introduction

This five-day course gives senior leaders practical skills to strengthen corporate governance and board effectiveness. It focuses on clear frameworks, decision-making processes, and compliance obligations. Participants work with case studies, templates, and governance tools they can apply immediately. The course is designed for organisations facing regulatory change, board transition, or increased investor scrutiny.

Objectives

1. Apply a governance framework to define board and executive roles, committee structures, and reporting lines.
2. Design board reporting and information flows that improve strategic decision-making and risk oversight.
3. Evaluate board and executive performance using evidence-based metrics and run a structured board evaluation.
4. Develop and implement policies and controls to meet regulatory and disclosure requirements.
5. Lead stakeholder and investor engagement on governance issues, including disclosures and crisis response.
